PLN is extremely important to education? PLN is called Personal Learning Networks. For EDM310 I was assigned 2 sights to go to for Personal Learning Network. The websites were called Symbaloo and Netvibes. I took it upon myself and chose Symbaloo, which was more suitable for me.

What are Personal Learning Networks? PLN is a function where people set up numerous ways to coordinate their teaching and learning. There are many teachers in the world who all can share their learning. One example that was given was Facebook. Facebook can help you stay connected with many teachers and other countries. There are so many ways of learning. PLN helps you organize and manage your learning.

How can they help you as a teacher? PLN is great for communicating with different teachers around the world. PLN is also a fast way of becoming a great teacher through the learning tools it consist of. There are many different avenues to reach the minds of students and so with the various resources available, the mind and learning of the students is not limited to just one style of information for learning purposes.

How are they formed? There are extremely many different sites that you can create PLN accounts. One site to use is Netvibes. PLN is used by many people all over the world for educational purposes. Educators all over the world blog and tweet each Other.

How can you create your own PLN? There are numerous tools and sites to create you a PLN. When on the internet, and using the information through vital resources such as Twitter, Youtube, KhanAcademy, and Symbaloo. It is not just limited to one site, or one place, but the network created can be used in creating learning methods.

Who will be the first additions to your PLN? Personally, for me, versatility is what makes the world less boring. I would like to get in contact with teachers from other countries. Not that the education in our society is bad, but with a new perspective and a different set of eyes on education, the heights that can be reached, are unfathomable.

In these conversations from Mr. Capps, you learned that you have to have projects to learn.
Mr. Capps gave ways as a teacher to focus the kids on learning.
As a teacher, you have to create a project that will give students the content that is required.
From watching the video, I learned to never limit the kids on project based learning.
A useful way that is engaging, is to discuss projects that kids will like and have taste for.
Project based learning is for evaluating students.
Another method for involving kids in learning is a online tool called Icurio.
Icurio allows students to safely search for educated things.
I also learned that Icurio shows kids how to stay organize in a virtual way.
Icurio can be very beneficial for teachers and students.
Teachers and students can use Icurio to store things they researched that is valuable.
Discovery Ed was also a great tool for students.
Discovery Ed researches Science and other subjects to show videos to videos to students.
Discovery Ed brings the text from class to life by showing videos to students to engage in.
Discovery Ed is a great tool for kids to learn visually.
A tip for a teacher to be a great successful educator, you have to be a good learner.
Tips for a Successful teacher is be very flexible, hard work, and make sure all students are 100% engaged.
Also you have to use a content that can involve them and they can share their reflection, as long with their audience.
You have to develop assignments through technology instead of teaching technology.
Developing daily plans is good for a educator.

As a teacher we always feel that we are correct, but that is not true.
To be a successful teacher, we have to ask questions so that it can be a class discussion.
Asking class questions is to check for understanding as a whole class.
You must ask the class numerous of times do they clearly understand the material.
You must always ask the student do they understand the question before moving to the next assignment or subject to be a successful teacher.
A great teacher ask students to not respond with yes or no, but rather give detail about the question.
It makes the student have a high order of thinking.
A teacher should make sure that all students are capable of learning.
Organizing groups will extremely be good for asking questions to be a successful teacher.
Teachers should always ask engaging question and make sure all the students get the question right.
It will always be effective to ask a student to explain a yes or no answer.
Always as a teacher, you should walk students through questions.
A teacher should never ask 2 questions at the same time.
Confusing the kids will not make the kids engaged into learning, but have them stressed.
Include notes for the students when you ask them questions.
Notes will take a load off students, so that they will memorize the question and answer.
As a teacher, you must make sure each student answer a question one at a time for a clear understanding.
Also you can make students respond to other students answers.

To begin with Ms. Edna Sackson discusses the main principle of having a great learning experience at school.
Ms. Sackson really stressed the fact of accumulating a great learning environment.
She was more concerned about what, how, than why she should have a splendid class setup.
Ms. Sackson wanted the kids to collaborate and be very engaged in the learning process.
Implications of new ways of thinking were put in place. She also made learning more flexible and diverse.
Thoughts about the learning process were also put in place.
One thought she inferred was stimulating space to share and learn.
She wanted the kids to feel comfortable and share thoughts to one another.

Ms. Sackson also gave details about obtaining classroom agreements.
Her form of thought was that classroom agreements were rules that were put in place.
In her post, classroom agreements did not relate to learning, but discipline and self control as a student.
An example that was given was that big kids should sit right in a chair. Sitting right in a chair does not obtain to an educational process, but is put in place for a class agreement.
Having rules set was not very engaging for a learning process.
Ms. Sackson way of a classroom agreement, was that the kids should see how learning looks, like, and sound.
That would make the learning process very intriguing and agreeable to kids.
